Mission
To provide a comprehensive 4 to 5-year long Physical Education Programme to develop the physical, intellectual, social and emotional aspects of all our students through physical activities.
Vision
To be a vibrant Physical Education department that empowers students with the knowledge, skills, and values to live active, healthy, and balanced lives. Through engaging, pupil-centred experiences, we cultivate self-confidence, creativity, leadership, teamwork, and a passion for lifelong fitness and well-being.
Key Programmes
Core Physical Education Curriculum
A progressive, pupil-centred PE programme designed to develop fundamental movement skills, game sense, and fitness literacy.
Focus areas include:
Games & Sports Skills – e.g. Netball, Badminton, Floorball, Volleyball, Hockey, Tack & Field.
Fitness & Health – Aerobic conditioning, circuit training, and personal fitness goal setting.
Outdoor Education – Orienteering, basic navigation, and environmental appreciation.
Inter-Class and Inter-House Games
Annual competitions that foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and school spirit.
Opportunities for every student to participate, compete, and lead.
Highlights collaboration, perseverance, and fair play — values core to the Theresian spirit.
Education through Adventure & Outdoor Learning
Camp-based and outdoor education programmes to build resilience, self-confidence, and cooperation.
Secondary 1 EFL Camp & 2 OAL Camps.
Seondary 4 Dragonboating Programme.
Sec 1 Safe Cycling and Mini-expedition.
Orienteering and low-element challenges.
Environmental awareness and sustainability activities.
Health and Safety Education
Regular reinforcement of safety practices, injury prevention, and responsible participation.
Embedding first aid awareness and safe use of equipment in lessons.
Leadership through Sports Programme
Developing leadership, responsibility, and peer motivation through sport-related roles.
Opportunities include: LLP Champions, & Sports Leaders training.
Leading warm-ups, mini-games, and class lessons/ challenges.
Supporting inter-class and inter-house competitions.
